En éste proyecto me parecía estimulante revisitar algunas de aquellas obras que han permanecido en mi memoria. Para ello, me puse a buscar la ruta que podría trazar para llegar a mi destino en busca de rumores lejanos de La Venus del Espejo de Velázquez, de la Dama del Armiño de Leonardo, del Nacimiento de Venus de Boticelli, de la Pietá de Michelangelo , de la Victoria de Samotracia, del Origen del Mundo de Courbet,…
On this project I found stimulating to revisit some of those classic works that have remained in my memory. I started to look for the roadmap that would allow me to reach my destination in search of distant rumors of the Venus at her Mirror by Velázquez, Lady with an Ermine by Leonardo, Birth of Venus by Boticelli, La Pietá by Michelangelo, The Victory of Samothrace, The Origin of the World by Courbet…
Porque los temas fundamentales han variado poco: seguimos persiguiendo febrilmente el milagro de la luz. Para ello rebuscamos entre las sombras, incitamos las texturas y su tacto, acechamos el volumen, pretendemos capturar el murmullo de los roces… Y nos apasionamos en ésta búsqueda.
Because the main themes haven’t change: we keep feverishly chasing the miracle of light. We rummage into the shadows, urge textures, stalk volumes, attempt to capture the rustle of rubbings,.. And we are fascinated by the chase.
