LES PONTS D’ALGER
THE BRIDGES OF ALGIERS. This work shows and celebrates people of various ages, ideas or social positions. They are the people I have met on the streets those few days I visited Algiers in November 2010. Busy people going about their daily lives and generous enough to dedicate an instant to me or to my camera.
All of them are unique individuals, all of them different with their own worries and hopes following the course of their lives. They form a multicoloured network of bridges that span and extend themselves over all distances: the distances of language, of backgrounds and of culture. They are the bridges that led me into the labyrinths of Algiers.
LES PONTS D’ALGER / LOS PUENTES DE ARGEL
Este proyecto muestra a gente de todas las edades ideas o posición social. Personas que encontré por las calles de Argel durante mi estancia en noviembre de 2010. Gente que corre de un lado a otro inmersos en sus tareas con la generosidad de dedicarme unos momentos a mí y a mi cámara.
Todos ellos son individuos únicos, con sus preocupaciones, alegrías y esperanzas. Ellos conforman una red de puentes multicolores que cubren todas las distancias: las distancias de lenguaje, de orígenes y de culturas. Son los puentes que me facilitaron la travesía por los laberintos de Argel.
